Black Healing and Solidarity: Understanding and Undoing Internalized Anti-Blackness-February 2025, Virtual

*This workshop is exclusively for individuals who identify as Black, providing a dedicated space for exploration, healing, and solidarity.*

Presented in partnership with the NxNE Community Health Center, Black Healing and Solidarity: Understanding and Undoing Internalized Anti-Blackness is a space created by and for Black folks to unpack the complex ways internalized anti-Blackness can shape our lives, relationships, and communities. Together, we will explore the historical roots of anti-Blackness, its pervasive impacts, and how it manifests within and around us. We will also explore how our other intersecting identities engage with anti-Blackness.

Through open dialogue and guided exercises, participants will have the opportunity to reflect, connect, and engage in practices that foster healing and self-love. Central to this session is the theme of solidarity—how we can strengthen bonds within Black communities to resist the harm of anti-Black narratives and build collective power.

This event is a supportive and affirming space for Black people to recognize and undo the impact of systemic oppression while celebrating the resilience and strength of Black identity.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of NxNE Community Health Center and their commitment to the Black community, we are excited to be able to offer this workshop at no cost.

If you do not identify as Black, please consider joining Challenging Anti-Blackness:Tools for Non-Black People.
